Windows® 7 Upgrade Terms & Conditions
1. Offer is valid on qualifying Toshiba branded laptop computers pre-installed with the Qualifying Operating System during the Windows® 7 Upgrade Option Program period.
2. Toshiba laptops that are licensed for a program-eligible Windows Vista version which have been downgraded to Windows XP are also eligible for this program – but a clean installation of the upgrade media will be required.
3. One upgrade may be ordered per upgrade redemption request. Requests using duplicate serial numbers will not be allowed. You must provide the laptop part number, serial number, name of retailer/reseller, and date of purchase that is within the Upgrade Promotion period to Transcontinental. No more than 25 requests may be shipped to any one address.
4. Optical DVD drive to install the Windows 7 Upgrade Media and Internet Access for activation and obtaining any/all necessary driver and application updates will be required
5. Additional requirements may be necessary to use certain features. Depending on resolution, video playback may require additional memory and advanced graphics hardware. For some Window Media Center functionality, a TV tuner and additional hardware may be required. Windows Touch and Windows Tablet require specific hardware. HomeGroup requires a network and PCs with Windows 7. DVD/CD authoring requires a compatible optical drive. BitLocker requires TPM 1.2; BitLocker To Go requires a USB Flash Drive, Music and sound require audio output.
6. Installation for some Windows® 7 products may require you to re-format your hard drive. Upgrades may not allow you to retain certain applications, files and settings as they were in the previous installed edition of Windows software. Therefore, you should back-up your files and settings prior to installation or they may be erased.
7. You must upon request provide Proof of Purchase via an original receipt from the place of purchase of the qualifying Toshiba laptop computer that identifies retailer/reseller, laptop part number, serial number, and date of purchase that is within the Upgrade Promotion period to Transcontinental. You must submit all Proof of Purchase by February 28, 2010 (last postmark date).
8. Orders will not be shipped until approximately 8 weeks after the general availability of Windows® 7.
9. The Toshiba Microsoft Windows® 7 upgrade offer only applies to Toshiba units purchased in Canada along with a valid Canadian shipping address. A shipping & handling fee may apply. A valid Visa or Mastercard credit card is required to place your order.
