Toshiba launches new REGZA television series for enhanced home theatre entertainment
Five new models offer 1080p full HD resolution, new gaming features and sleek
cosmetic design
MARKHAM, ON (February 26, 2008) – The Consumer Electronics
Group of Toshiba of Canada Limited(Toshiba) today launched the stylish REGZA
RV530 series of LCD TVs, featuring 1080p full high definition resolution for
six times the picture resolution of standard definition television. The first
new series of Toshiba’s 2008 premium LCD TV line-up, the RV530 models
boast Toshiba’s proprietary 14 Bit PixelPure4G Video Processor for uncompromised
performance and deliver smooth natural pictures for the sharpest images.
Sure to impress home theatre enthusiasts and gamers alike, the 42-inch REGZA
RV530 delivers mind blowing picture quality through an enhanced DynaLight blacklight
control. DynaLight increases contrast up to 10 times over original panel contrast,
resulting in a deeper black level that increases detail and depth even in low
light environments.

Functionality is built into the 42-inch REGZA RV530 LCD TV with four HDMI inputs
for full digital connectivity. REGZA Link allows users to control multiple HDMI
device controlling signals via the HDMI cable without having to program the
remote control. The new high-res PC input feature allows gamers to easily hook
up to the gaming system of their choice for advanced gaming action on the big
screen and the Gaming Mode feature provides a more direct video signal to the
screen for faster controller-to-screen response. Improved design elements include
a stylish two-tone surface tension design and sleek high gloss black bezel.
The REGZA 42RV530 model is available for $1499. The REGZA RV530 LCD TV series
also includes the 32-inch model for $1099, the 37-inch model for $1299, the
46-inch model for $1999 and the 52-inch model for $2499 (diagonal screen sizes).
