Assists the Director of Marketing with the implementation of the marketing plan including the tracking and monitoring of the marketing budget, the development of sales tools, advertising, collateral and market analysis.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Prepare market statistics on a quarterly basis
• Assist with product sales analysis
• Produce marketing reports and bulletins
• Assist with the maintenance of the company website
• Coordinate MSD tradeshows, congresses and special events; collaborate with internal and external parties on arrangements for marketing collateral and promotional products for special events
• Develop and maintain media contact lists for print and electronic media
• Coordinate print advertising activities with trade magazines and journals
• Coordinate mailers/e-blasts (product launches and symposiums)
• Fullfill marketing requests from Account Managers and customers
• Manage external marketing vendor relationships: Liase directly with agencies and printer
• Process and analyze all customer leads (web, ads, tradeshows)
• Maintain customer contact database
Qualifications and Experience:
Mandatory Requirements
• An undergraduate degree in Marketing / Communications/ Public Relations
• 2+ years experience in Marketing or related function
Requirements
• Exceptional written as well as verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, data manipulation and management skills
• Experience in the planning and coordination of corporate events including logistics, publicity/promotion, program development and speaker coordination.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders/partners.
• Strong media relations experience including print, online and social media.
• Website and/or intranet content development and management experience an asset.
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. Knowledge of InDesign, Dream Weaver, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Publisher an asset.
• High level of personal enthusiasm and self-motivation
